Esperanto Newspaper

Wow. I just looked at another blog which has language-related articles, and there was a tag esperanto. Curious, I looked what was there, and the first thing was an article about Le Monde being published in Turkish. So what? How is that related to Esperanto? The answer is, further down there was also a link to an Esperanto version of Le Monde!

  1. Strictly speaking, there is an Esperanto version of "Le Monde Diplomatique" rather than of "Le Monde". It uses very good Esperanto, so is clearly translated by a human being rather than a machine.

There are a number of magazines in Esperanto. My favourite is "La Ondo" which is published in Russia.

  2. Yes, you're right! My esperanto is not good enough to read it yet, so I failed to notice the difference. It is encouraging to see that Esperanto is one of the 26 languages in which they publish it, and even better to know that it is of good quality (linguistically), so I'm looking forward to reading it when my skills have improved.
